A Few Christmas Tunes: Joy To the World
A decade ago, on my older blogs, I used to do a series in December, “The 25 Carols of Christmas.”
This year, I have been exceptionally uninterested in the holidays.
I thought I’d add some of my favorite holiday tunes in order to at least pretend I was feeling all merry and joyous.
Obvious I can’t do do 25 tunes in this brief period. However, I thought I’d add one video for the next 6 days —, yes, six: 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25.
Six days.
Six.
So, at least six carols, along with a few extras to try and be joyful.
Here’s the first.
Yes, it is by Donna Summer. But, there’s no disco music, though you may find that you are sitting in a church pew.

I know, this year has been especially difficult to get “into the spirit.” With the loss of your mother, it must be that much harder. This is a good idea, the music. Wishing you love this year, John, and music that lifts the soul.
Thank you!

I always have a tough time around the holidays, for many reasons.
I think a bit of the weight this year comes from being in a place that’s not Colorado. I’m excited to be in our new home. That’s exciting. We’re still living out of boxes. I have been sick for a couple weeks.
Mom has been gone since 2017 and Christmas in our house was never a big deal.
I think it’s that we are both ready to have Christmas in our home but will have to wait until next year.
I hope you and yours have a good holiday season!

Gosh, I didn’t realize how long it’s been. I’m glad you’re happy in your new place. I know what it’s like to live out of boxes. It always takes longer than expected. xo
